Today our class and next door Piwakawaka went to Pounamu Pgathways in Greymouth. We went in car groups and Evelyn and Maddy were in the car with me. When we got there we had to stand out in the wind untill we got let inside. Everyone had a little booklit and there were fifteen pages in them. In the booklit we had a treasure hunt and these were the questions, who is the taniwha that protects the pounamu? The answer was Poutini the next question was, who introduced pounamu to Ngāi tahu? It was Raureka. After that question it was what feathers is Tūhuru’s cloak made out of and it was kiwi feathers. There were some other questions in it to. The next page said draw something that stands out to you within the space. I drawed flax weaving because it looks cool and its significance is to carry food and water in it. After that page it said true of false and we had to circle a t or a f and I will tell you some of the questions. The word ‘Pounamu’ means Greenstone? It was true. Tūhuru was a chief of Ngāti Waewae? It was true to. That was some questions of the true or false page. Then some kōwhaiwhai patterns how we had to sketch stuff. Then the free battles that happend and a glossery page how we had to find words and what they mean, we couldn’t find one word. Next we had to do a reflection. after were went to Dixon Park for lunch and and play, but we went to Do Duck In and mum got a ginger bread man for me, Evelyn and Maddy. Me ,Tara and Sophie went to the dog pool and played in there even though it wasn’t fild with water. Next we went to the play ground and one of us had to make a trick and the other two had to copy the move and they would get rated out of ten. When it was Sophie’s turn we had to run to the bridge and back but then we had to go back to school and we had fitheen minutes on the play ground and that was most of my day.I really enjoyed it.
