Boating

In the holidays me and my family went boating and I wrote a story about it.

                        Going boating

It was Thursday and me,mum,dad,Nate and Lucy were going to go down to Haast. We brought our boat down because we were meeting some other people on the way there to go boating.It was very crazy jumping over stumps and stones.

We went down one river on the first day,it started pouring down with rain so everyone (other people that we were boating with) decided to turn around and head back. Everyone went to dry off,next we went to the pub in Fox Glacier .Me,Nate,Bille and Saxon went to play pool. The others ordered food.After we all ate dinner we got on the road again. It started to get dark so we stopped at Hans bay for the night.On the way there Nate,me and Lucy saw 14 possums. When we got up, we had breakfast. I had pancakes.

We had to pack everything back in the car, but left our togs and wetsuits out because the second day we were going to the lake. When we got there was a fence of boys that ruined the view, but we first had to take the cover off the boat and get everything out.Next dad backed the car into the water as Nate got the boat into the water. We went down a little river stream at the lake and it was very rocky but a good track. Then after we decided to turn around and got back to the lake we went back to the cars and I got my wetsuit on. Nate wanted to go on the weight board so we connected the rope and we went off. Next dad threw me and Lucy off the boat into the freezing cold water, it was in the boys. When we were all packed up we drove to Haast.

That night we decided we were going to go to the pub and play pool. After we played a few rounds we went home and went to bed.The Next day we were going back to Hokitika. On the way back we were going for a little boat.It wasn’t long till we got to the river.There were heaps of bumps we got to a place with blue and green water it was very cool. In the last little river we went in there were heaps and heaps of trees that we had to jump over, there was one that we got stuck on but we got off the tree.

  

Finally we packed the boat and the car.At the petrol station we bought ice blocks and drove back to Hokitika. That story Is a little bit about my holidays the end.

Districts Athletics

Yesterday me and about 28 people went to WHS for districts/athletics. There were five different schools there.We arrived about 9:20 and at 9:30 we had first it was 800m I came first and tara came second, then we had a bye,after that dicus, then we had high jump, next a a bye,then shot put and second last 60m,and last 80m.  Me and my friend Tara are going to go to west cost, I am going there for 800m, long jump, 80m and 60m, Tara got in for 800m, high jump, shot put and dicus.

What place would you think you would come in all of the activites?

Inside Outside Poem

This week we have been making some poems. They are  about inside and outside,and this is my one hope you like it.

Inside, my tummy feels like jelly.

Inside, I wonder if I’m going to win.

Inside, I feel nervous, like there are butterflies in my stomach.

Inside, I am cold, and I don’t want to do it.

 

Outside, I feel rain falling, making the track all muddy.

Outside, I hear people getting called to the starting line.

Outside, I feel I will lose my mind,

Outside, I hear Mrs King calling me up to the starting line.

 

Inside, I breath slowly,

Inside,  my legs feel wobbly, 

Inside, I remember what my friend said “ You can do this.”
